About us
Under Valnøddetræet Bed & Breakfast sits between 60 acres of fields, just a 10-minute drive from Ballen harbour. A large garden surrounds the old manor house Sannholm from 1854, with old trees and a small lake. The nearest beach is just a 10-minute bike ride away and we are just three kilometers away from one of Denmark’s most beautiful golf-courses.
In the middle of the garden you will find the old walnut tree, which provides a rich harvest of walnuts every year and in the morning you can see the deer that use the garden and small forest around it. We have three double rooms and one single room that share a bathroom and a common room with a fridge, where we serve breakfast in the morning. In the garden there are lots of cozy corners where you can sit and enjoy the silence. In the courtyard in front of the house you can enjoy the morning sun or a game of boule.
Christian, who is a writer, spent his whole life in Copenhagen, before deciding to move to Samsø to write and run a Bed & Breakfast with his girlfriend Stefanie, who spends half her time on Samsø and the rest in Cologne in Germany.
